51 Ranch Pipeline Project

On May 19, 2018 AMD volunteers finished up the Shorty Smith Spring and the Shipping Pen Cabana cover on the 51 Ranch / New River Allotment . We removed all the old trusses and tin, replaced with new pressure treated trusses and steel roofing. With the exception of some mean hornets, all went as planned. Elena saw her first scorpion and two groups of Mule Deer! Special thanks to 51 Ranch – Josh Ross and the Fletcher family for their commitment to wildlife conservation.

Bar X Trick Tank Project Update

Through the AZGFD’s Adopt-a-Ranch Program, the AMD was enlisted to rebuild the structure at the Trick Tank Redevelopment Project. Over the course of 2 days, 17 AMD Volunteers, AZGFD employees, and rancher Mike Hemovich, completely rebuilt and refurbished the Trick Tank. This much needed water source was destroyed years earlier by a forest fire.
